Hello Members,

a new Child Theme for Directory Starter is 99.9% ready and we almost finished the demo.

We called it Supreme Directory and you can see it here: http://wpgeo.directory/supreme-directory/

All we need is a little more testing from users and that is where you could help.

While testing please add some dummy reviews on listings too, we would appreciate it. 🙂

If nothing major comes up, tomorrow we will release it.

We really hope you like it, we sure do…

Just a small issue with the rating stars covering the text. Using the share doesn’t pick up any images from the listing. Clicking on the map cross top left corner changes cursor to a hand – you then can not opt back to pointer you have to refresh the page.

Very nice theme guys works really well and love the top image area

The rating covering the moderation text should be resolved now, @websitu
I can’t recreate the hand thing, when i maximise the map, the cursor is a hand because you can drag the map, you then can minimise the map and the cursor is normal, can you let me know how to recreate the problem if there is one?

@websitu it’s the script we use to share for facebook, it looks like it does not grab the image but when posted it does show the image.

Hi Stiofan

Just checked the map issue again and its only happening with Opera browser. Checked in Safari, Chrome, Firefox and they are fine – just Opera that it doesn’t enlarge the map and therefore you can’t get back to selecting anything without refreshing page.

Very nice looking theme! Congratulations.

Quick basic question: Will we be able to integrate all of the add-on plugins in this theme, and use tabs in the detail pages? I didn’t notice any tabs…

HI,

it is compatible with all add-on however for this particular design we decided to remove the tabs.

We used a function to do so.

Eventually you could get it back by removing the function.

We will come out with a series of posts of how we achieved that design.

Nice theme! Is this for Directory Starter only or will it work with the GD Framework parent theme?

EDIT: See next post for correction!

WRONG:

It is a stand-alone theme, meaning it’s a parent theme, and you would use it with a child theme.
You will not need GDF.

As the title of this post says, this is not a standalone theme, it is a child theme of Directory Starter. It does not work for GDF.

Will you have new child themes for GDF users? Or do you recommend to just switch from GDF to DS and use this child theme?

At the moment we are not building new chilt themes for Gdf.

We don’t recommend to move, but if you like this design you’ll have yo.

GREAT THEME!!!
it s working fine… I ve just bought the Sky theme…
but nevertheless I am thinking i ll be using this one (50€ down to the flush 😐 )

I ve installed on http://www.grappling-italia.com/palestre
some bugs / random idea:

– The topbar/ admin bar is disappeared ( but i ve already seen this ticket)
– I cannot (or i didn’t find) a way to upload and image on the search backfround
– all listing are not displayed correctly ( see here: http://www.grappling-italia.com/palestre/palestre/lugano/brazillian-jiu-jitsu/fight-gym-club-lugano/ or here: http://www.grappling-italia.com/palestre/palestre/sesto-san-giovanni/brazillian-jiu-jitsu/bono-academy/)
– on the home page, the popular categories are not in line if the above mentioned categories are more than 1 line long (see attachment)

Some Update that would be nice for version 0.0.2
– the Add Listing in a different color (like the above mentioned Sky theme)
– On listing: manage the sidebar as a widget ( or at least space to add Advertisement on the sidebar) may of us offer FREE listing… adv could help to monetize
– Also all your themes have a Big logo on the top and the map on the left/sidebar
the main image is usually the logo which does not look nice on the top: i find more useful a big map so users know where it s..
So I would like to see the map on the top and the logo on the left/sidebar…
is this possible in some way (I know it necessary to touch the code… but is it “easy” or it s an heavy customization?)
