New Listings for Places, Events and Custom Post Type

    Hi people,

    I am new to this and thought it would be easier but I cannot seem to find how to do it. I have Places, Events and one Custom Post Type named Castings.

    I have a widget that shows “Places, Events & Castings” on the home page. When a user clicks on one of those options it goes through to all the listings for that category. If there are none listed it shows a link to create a new listing for that category type. How do I get the “Create New Listing” link to stay on that page constantly as it disappears if there is a listing OR how do I create a “new listing” page for each of those categories?

    One for list new places, one for list new events and one for list new casting.

    You can add any text you like to that category page:
    GD > Settings > Pages > GD Archive page > Edit.

    That should fix what you want I think.

    Thank you for your reply Guust. How do I get that text to open a new listing form? if I had the following text entered after following your instructions:

    “Create new listing”

    How do I make it so if a user clicks on that text it opens a new listing form?

    I hope that makes sense. Thank you in advance

    You will have to link it to the different custom post types, for example
    …/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_place
    …/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_event
