    I run into something which may be a bug.

    When adding a new place category the data entered into the “Category Top Description” field is not saved and the field stays blank. If you edit the place category afterwards data then entered into the field is saved.

    I’m running the latest version of Geodirectory with the latest version of Supreme Directory theme, converted from Geotheme.

    I made two copies of the original Geotheme site as development sites for the conversion and testing and the problem occurs on both.

    Hi,

    I’ve tested on our demo and I can’t recreate this.

    Please provide a link and admin credentials and we will follow up.

    Thanks

    Hi James,

    The problem has been fixed. Actually with tinyMCE editor visual mode via new category form, it does not save the category top description.

    Let us provide FTP details, so we can update it on your site and check if it works also there.
    Or try to update this patch https://github.com/GeoDirectory/geodirectory/pull/411/commits/5a52671e9ba3f42b7d99e62f62312f5575db3785

    Thanks,
    Kiran

    Hi, my site is http://www.sanitaryadvisor.com. I would like to know how I can make changes to the fields by making them compulsory or non-compulsive, such as address, phone number, and so on. Thank you so much.

    @andrea

    You can manage fields from custom fields settings GD > CPT Settings (Place Settings) > Custom Fields. Check documentation here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#custom

    FYI: Create your own topic, don’t post on someone’s topic.
