    Hi,

I moved the site from the development server to the live server but I am not able to reset the default location because there are no countries in the country table drop down list.

When I click the ‘Reload country table’ button I get a message that says ‘Something went wrong’

I’ve tried deactivating and reactivating the plugin but to no avail.

How can I re-load the country list..?

    Thanks,

    Martin.

How did you move? That seems to be the reason.
It looks like there are no listings anyway, so why not delete the GD plugin and try again?

OK, deleting the plugin and starting again worked.

I backed up the site (full site – files and database) with BackupBuddy and imported the site to the live server. No reason why any of that data should have been left behind.

    Anyway, it’s all working now,

    Many thanks.

    Martin.

GD uses special database tables, so that may be the reason why BackupBuddy does not work.
But good to hear you sorted it.
    Enjoy GD 🙂

What are these special database tables GD uses..? We obviously need to be able to make proper and complete full site backups.

    Cheers.

    Hi Martin,

We use custom tables for things like country list and location lists where it makes more sens and is faster to have our own tables, i would assume a good backup plugin would include these but you would have to check with the plugin author.

I see your site is running cpanel which has a built in backup/restore option.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan
