    Hello,

    Just received a message from a customer. Someone was trying to leave a review for him, but they could not find the star rating because there isn’t a label. You would need to scroll over the area to see that something is there.

    There should be a label there indicating to leave a star rating. Photo attached.

    This is the email that I received from my customer.

    Jeff, go ahead and pass it on, I think this needs the attention of the webmaster (I used to be one).
    The error message says that the review will not be accepted until the stars are checked. However, I cannot see any stars, thus cannot complete the stars checkoff, so I cannot submit the review.
    I’m using Safari on an up to date Mac.
    Later I’ll try on other platforms and see if I can submit, but in any case this needs attention. N

    I don’t know anything about how the posts work other than what I sent you.

    Just go ahead and post it. I may be that when you hit the “post” button, it will ask you about stars later.

    If it gets messed up, I will talk to the person that runs the page and it will be fixed.

    Thank you.

    Hi Ron,

    I’d like you to know that the Rating Stars are above the “Name” textbox and it is white color by default. So changing color should make it visible again. Apply the custom CSS below into GD > Design > Style > Custom Style CSS.

    .comment-form .gd_rating {
       background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2);
       margin:20px 0px
    }

    Thank you that helped. I still think it would be a good thing to have text that gives direction to the user.

    Hi,

    please provide a link and admin credentials. You are probably missing the correct rating star image due to the update problem with GDF last week end.

    Let us know,

    Thanks

    There is no label at the moment if you only have 1 rating criteria.

    The visible stars should be more than enough to understand that’s where you assign a rating.

    Thanks

    Trust me, some of my users are not as smart as you! LOL

    I just suggest that you think about putting a description in front of the stars. That can not difficult and would help the challenged folks out there.

    Thanks,
