Hi there,
Have searched past queries and can’t find the solution to this I’m afraid.
We’re finding on our site ozviet.com that we’re getting the reply “no records found” (e.g. “dentist” in “Springvale”) when clearly we know there are listings that should be found with the search words entered.
If you reply I could maybe private message you the admin login/password and you could take a look at our settings please?
Thank-you,
Lindsey A.March 15, 2018 at 3:38 am #421527Hi Lindsey,
Thanks for reaching us. Could you please check your listings and see if you’ve assigned a category? If you’re not sure, please share WP admin access in private reply and we’ll check further.
Thanks!

We would need “administrative” access to check your WP backend. Could you grant us that permission?
Thanks!

Sorry do you have a policy that I need to say explicitly:
You have my permission to use the Administrative login and password I have provided to access the backend of my website.
Thank-you

to look into this further, I went to look at the list of Dentists.
Then I searched for a word “phong” in the title of one of those listings.
When the search returned, listings were present.
https://ozviet.com/?geodir_search=1&stype=gd_place&s=phong&snear=&sgeo_lat=&sgeo_lon=
To help us help you, could you please share the URL of a listing you are searching for, and then also share the URL of the search you make where you think that listing should show up. These are the two pieces of information we need, and any other steps to recreate the issue as you see it.
Thanks

Generally speaking, from https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/gd-search/#near
The default GD search is not an IN search, but a search NEAR THE CENTER OFSo the search for dentists near ‘springvale’ is a search for dentists within the default ‘near’ limit (40 for this site) from the center of the location matched with ‘springvale’.
In the case of this site, there was an issue with the permalinks, that ‘show full location in URL’ was selected but the first checkbox was not selected, so the URL was incomplete.
Try your search again and see if the results are improved.
At this time, the listings results on the search page do not appear to contain a link to the listing detail page and are missing some information. This would seem to be an issue with mixed content / CORS errors in the console.
Your site needs all images and resources to run from https. Please try the ‘better search replace’ plugin to update http links to https in your database. That should fix the issues on the search page, but if not write back and let us know.
