No Registration Link?

Is it just me or is there no registration link on the built in login page? If a user goes to create a listing, and they are not logged in, it shows a login form. That login form is missing a link to register, is that a bug or by design? How do we go about setting this up with v2?

Hello,

to enable users to register enable:

WP – Settings – General – Allow anyone to register

The login related forms for V2 are all provided by WP, except for the optional reg form on the add listing page.

Hi Alex,

Thanks for the reply. I have already enabled registrations…I double checked. How can I enable the optional reg form on the add listing page? I can’t find that setting anywhere. Thanks again!

In GeoDirectory Settings (click show advanced) > Allow posting without logging in?

Thanks, I didn’t see the “show advanced” options. However, that doesn’t put a registration link on the add listings login page. I think this actually makes more sense anyway. Maybe I’ll create a pop up that explains an email will be sent with their passwords.

Yes, you have some options there. You can use translation to change some of that text.

It is also pretty common to use a sidebar on the add-listing page to provide some additional context.
