I’ve uploaded and published a number of listings via CSV. The site was running slowly and I can now see that the only the full sized images FTP’d to my server are being used in all instances on the site. No thumbs seem to have been generated at all. This results in the site running painfully slow and many of the images not being loaded.

This is happening in v1.4.3 and 1.4.4 of the GeoDirectory plugin.

I’ve changed the permissions via FTP on all uploaded images to 777, which has had no effect on newly published listings.

I’ve also tried regenerating thumbs using AJAX Thumbnail Rebuild and Regenerate Thumbnails plugins. Both of which only re-generate images in my media library, some 29, when there should now be 300+ images for published listings.

Any ideas how I can force GeoDirectory to generate the thumbs and start using them?

When adding images using front end or backend they are automatically re-sized to 800×800 max; see GD > design > home > Resize image large size

If you upload by FTP that does not happen.
So either, resize offline and re-upload to the same folder, or delete from backend in listing, and re-upload there.

GD will not create heaps of thumbs for every image to save server space.
