    Hi,

While it used to be clumsy having to go to the full list of Places and choose “Quick edit” under the Place title to assign Categories to a Place, with the latest updates installed, the “Quick edit” link is gone — only Edit, Delete, and View links remain.

However, on a Place’s full Edit screen, there is no interface for assigning Categories at all.

So how do we assign Categories to a Place under GeoDirectory 1.6.25 (with GeoDirectory Custom Post Types 1.3.6, and GeoDirectory Location Manager 1.5.62)?

    Hello,

In the dashboard/backend editor, the UI for adding categories can be found below the description area.

Let us know if that answers your question

Hello, it shoudl be at the top of the list, there.

Be sure to have created a category first. If that doesn’t fix it, please send over the information below and someone from the support team will take a look.

    Hello,

in GD > Place Settings > Custom FIelds > Category it was set to Active > No, so the field was being hidden from forms. You can visit those settings to change the order of the field in the form.

Also, your GD Permalinks were blank, so I set them for you. Leaving those blank will lead to unexpected behavior.

Let us know if that address your current issue.
