Hi guys,
I hope you can help me out once more.
MontclairCenter.comI’m seeing a NoIndex, NoFollow on most pages, including the home page. I’ve tried to overwrite this with an SEO plugin (WP Meta SEO), but this just adds the Follow, Index, now there are conflicting sets and Google Search Console won’t crawl it.
I tried to disable WooCommerce (in the page source, WooCommerce is right next to it), but for some reason disabling WooCommerce and its related plugins breaks my whole site – throwing an error that points to a fatal error in my child theme’s function.php file.
I’d appreciate it if you could take a look and get my site to be Index, Follow at least on the home page. Credentials to follow.

Thanks for your post. A developer will follow up with this.
Thanks!
November 21, 2018 at 6:16 pm #455413Hello,
unfortunately we won’t be able to help you with this as this issue is not related to GD.
You can followup with the SEO plugin author, perhaps.
November 21, 2018 at 7:49 pm #455427Thanks for looking. Note, I have attempted to fix the issue with SEO plugins, with or without such plugins, the issue persists. So, clearly it is not related to the SEO plugin.
Ever since Patrick helped with an issue attempting to update the core Geo Directory plugin, I cannot disable WooCommerce. (See the original post). If I disable GeoDirectory, the site works. If I enable GeoDirectory and disable all plugins, the site breaks. I cannot troubleshoot any conflicts without fixing whatever is wrong with GeoDirectory.
If you won’t help solve the problem, please help me to solve whatever is preventing me from troubleshooting.
Thank you kindly.

I could really use some help here.Thanks.
November 21, 2018 at 9:30 pm #455436Hi,
this is not caused by one of our products. You’ll need to ask for support to whoever created that child theme for you.
Thanks
November 21, 2018 at 9:33 pm #455438Hi Paolo,
What is not supported by one of your products? After the last support request, I am no longer able to disable a plugin without crashing the site. The support request had to do with the site breaking when I update Geo Directory. I’m not sure what’s wrong, but so far I’ve only got a partial fix, which didn’t solve the problem but rolled me back to prior to the recent update.
Now, I can’t trouble shoot other issues. Please help.November 21, 2018 at 9:50 pm #455442none of our products add noindex/nofollow to the website where they are installed and I don’t think the problem is caused by WooCommerce.
In any case the problem with WooCommerce is created by the child theme, that has been customized by you or a 3rd party developer.
I’m not sure why the lib folder was there, I was either following a tutorial or copying someone else’s install. Either way, it wasn’t something I fully understood.
We don’t provide support for customization and that is obviously a customization. You’ll need to hire a developer to get help with modifying a child theme if it isn’t something you fully understand.
That’s beyond support.
Here you’ll find a list of experts available for hire: http://geodirectoryexperts.com/
Thanks
November 21, 2018 at 10:25 pm #455443Ok 🙁 After your team made changes, I can no longer disable a plugin. This is not WooCommerce specific. Nor does it have anything to do with noindex. The problem is related to troubleshooting. Since I can’t trouble shoot now, I am coming back to the developers who last made changes. The site works with all GD disabled and the child theme worked fine before the last GD update attempt.
Can you please let us know why you have added it in the child so we can remove if you don’t need it?
Obviously after I answered him, we’d expect him to make the implied changes. He did not.
I built this child theme simply by using a GD child and deleting the parts I didn’t need. If there are folders there that aren’t necessary, its because GDF_child_1.0 had those folders.
I don’t understand how you can agree to help and then not finish, that is less than support. I still haven’t been able to deploy the upgrade which was the original reason for my request.
If you won’t help with this, you might as well close this thread.November 21, 2018 at 11:06 pm #455444GDF child is for the GDF framework theme, not for the Directory Starter.
Please activate the directory starter and do the debugging, than have someone help you fix the child theme creating a child theme for the directory starter. (that’s the cause of all your problems)
November 21, 2018 at 11:56 pm #455445That’s excellent. Thank you. I’ll try that.
