Not receiving notifications

    All of a sudden after 13th Feb I’ve stopped receiving notifications when someone registers, when someone adds a listing and again when I publish a listing.

    People are not receiving emails with their password either.

    I haven’t changed anything but the notifications have just stopped. Any ideas?

    Hi,

    we haven’t had any other case, so I don’t think it is a problem of the application. Have you tried asking to your hosting support to see if your email server is having any troubles?

    Our host page don’t think this is a problem at their end as emails can be sent and received to the site email. The problem seems to be with emails generated on the site for geodirectory. All was ok until the 13th Feb then email generation has stopped.

    Hi again,

    do you receive an email when someone posts a comment in a normal wordpress page?

    As said, if there was a bug in GD, we would have hundreds of members reporting such a noticeable issue…

    People can only post a review and I don’t get notifications on these any more either.

    Please answer my question: if you create a normal wordpress page with comment form and as a user you submit a comment on that page, do you get a notification?

    Hi again,

    in that case, as i suspected, the problem isn’t GeoDirectory, but a server configuration issue with WordPress.

    You could try solving with a SMTP plugin, in the forum we discussed this in the past with other members and you can search in the forum for suggestions.

    However this support ticket should be forwarded to your hosting provider, because he should be fixing it for you.
