    Hi there

I wonder if someone could help me?

I’m having problems seeing the event I’ve just listed on my website. There is one past event and 1 upcoming event. But nothing shows on the front end.

Please could someone take a look to see if I’m missing something obvious?

    Thanks

    Hi

I’m not able to as I’m an expired member, but I noticed the core plugin updated the other day and since then my claim listings link had to be reset back again. Is there a way to revert back to the old release if this is going to be a problem? I’m sure the events listings worked before.

    Hi,

if you don’t plan on updating the addons, you shouldn’t update core as well.

We can’t guarantee the new core will work with old addons and in most cases it won’t, because whenever we change something in core, we also have to update addons to keep code consistency.

Here you can find old versions of the core plugin. https://wordpress.org/plugins/geodirectory/developers/

    Thank you

I’m afraid it updates automatically, as my host provider updates all updateable plugins for me weekly.

If I download the previous release on that link, how will I install it to my site without affecting the current installation? I don’t want to loose any listings, ratings or settings?

    Thanks

    HI,

download the old version compatible with your addons, extract it on your desktop and upload it via FTP into the wp-content/plugins folder. It will overwrite the new version and no seettings will be changed.

    Thanks

In addition I would tell your hosting provider not to update your plugins unless he knows for sure that by doing so, it will not affect your website.

    Thanks
