I’m working with Supreme Directory and I would like to improve the results gotten when one of my subscribers enters a search for events and using the name of one of the pubs on my site. I usually have several events, such as live bands, listed for multiple bars. With the search centered on events, if I start to enter the name “Manning’s” (Manning’s Irish Pub) all of the individual events pop up in a dropdown, but this includes all the past events as well, and is useless to the visitor, who must then weed through dozens of events to find one that is upcoming. Do you recommend deleting events immediately after expiration, or would that create unlimited 404 errors? If I do that, I would also be able to delete all the related images and speed up my site. My directory is small right now, but even 10 events created for each of 18 listings and containing 3-4 images each would put over 700 images on my site. If I reach my goal of 300 listings, there would be 12-15000 images!
My goal is to place a link to events for each of the listing’s personal websites which would go to the search results for that bars events on my site: http://moonshinenetwork.com – Is that possible?
One other question: The events I create for these bars all start at a specific time but have no specific end time – like a band that plays from 8pm – close. Is there a way to not show an ending time in the event?
The picture attached shows how the event time is displayed, but in fact the end might be 12:30am, or 11:30pm, etc. It depends when the bar closes
