I had asked a similar question on this support ticket but wanted to revisit this topic for suggestions.

Here is what I am trying to do:
I am reaching out to Business Owners via email and asking them to verify and claim their listing. In exchange, I want to offer them a Free One Year Premium Listing.
Currently, there is only two ways of doing this:
1. Set the trial period to 365 days.
2. Create a new Package and only activate it manually when I add them to the plan.
This presents a few problems such as the business owner would have to wait on me to manually activate and add them to this package. And or this package would be public for everyone to take advantage of. Neither is ideal.
Seems like this could easily be solved with a Coupon Code at check out then I wouldn’t have to manually add them to the Free Year Package and they could start editing their listing right away.
The other suggestion that I have is to be able to have an active package that is NOT shown on the GD Add Place (restaurant, accommodation etc) page but I could as Admin login and change their Free Listing to this Free Year Package. Again not ideal but better than the previous option of manually activating the package and then adding it.
Note: what happens if I activate a special package, add a business to it, then de-activate the package? will that business stay added to that package?
Sure does seem like a Coupon Code would be the best way to handle this…..for marketing and promotional purposes.
