i can’t figure out what’s going on, but my page keeps auto-redirecting to mainsite.com/me or mainsite.com/members when i go to mainsite.com

not sure if htis is a wordpress or geodirectory problem. everything seems to work when i change the permalinks in WordPress to “default” (i’d really prefer to have it at “category”) anyone else experienced this? how do i fix it? see attached screenshots of my two permalink settings

    Thanks!

    the site is: http://xrumxrum.com

    Hi,

    permalinks must be /%postname%/.

However I don’t think your problem is realted to permalinks.

I think you need simply clear your browser Geo location settings: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/how-can-i-clear-geo-location-settings/

    Let us know,

    Thanks

    Hi,

please provide admin credentials in a private reply, however I’ve just tested with all browsers and it worked normally for me all the time.

    Let us know,

    Thanks

p.s. have you tried clearing your browser GeoLocation settings?

you were right, i cleared the geo locations on the browser and all was well, until i said “allow” on the local pop up, now it’s redirecting again… this is very strange, how do i fix this? 🙁

    Hi,

that is normal behaviour. If click allow, you are instructing your broser to share your location, you are redeirected to yoursite.com/location/me and that page will show the closest listings to your location.

If you click allow, than the only way to avoid it is to clear you browser GeoLocation settings again.

Let us know if this helps.

    Thanks

hm, but is it supposed to automatically recired to /me everytime i go to the website? that’s what it’s doing for me after i click allow. I can go in 2 days after setting the geolocation and it redirects me to /me instead of leaving me on the page i can to go to

    Hi,

I think the problem is with your GD >> Permalinks settings. I don’t think GeoLocation can work if you exclude the location from the URL completely.

Currently if I visit your page it is no longer asking to geolocate me though. Did you disable it?

    Let us know,

    Thanks
