i have tried everything to get this website to work with Yoast and its sitemaps

If i change the location url to ‘location’ and have the listing url prefix to ‘somethingunique’ that the listing pages are fine (ie: mysite.com/location/australia/myplace/), but the location pages are 404 (ie: mysite.com/location/australia/)

If i change the listing url to ‘somethingunique’ and have the listing url also ‘somethingunique’ then the listing pages are broken 404 but the location pages are fine in the sitemap.

    Here are my settings

    • i have custom post type plugin.
    • settings > reading > static page my custom home page
    • GD Home Page > set to ‘GD Home Page’
    • GD > permalinks- GD Home Page: GD Home Page, Location: Location
    • Listing URL Prefix: surveyors
    • Location URL prefix: location
    • Location page set to ‘Location’
    • my website url(remove spaces)- marine survey [.] org
    • sitemap- /sitemap_index.xml
    • settings > permalinks set to ‘postname’
    • Genesis framework
    • Yoast SEO installed

    Hello,

the location slug in the GD Permalinks is slightly misleading. It says it is deprecated but that leaves it to you to know the location page slug which is /sams-surveyors/

So your location pages are /sams-surveyors/united-states/florida/bradenton/

The detail pages are fine now and so are listing pages at /surveyors/united-states/florida/bradenton/

    Hi,

surveyors and sams-surveyors are respectively a listing page and a location page.

Unless you add content to GD Home Content Section widget area, the location page won’t show anything.

For the missing archive page from the sitemap (there should be another xml file youriste.org/gd_placecategory_location_country_region_city-sitemap.xml) I asked to the developers to follow up.

    They’ll let you know asap.

    Thanks

    Hello Jared,

We have added task to add CPT + Location urls to sitemap. https://github.com/AyeCode/geodirectory/issues/544

For the missing archive page from the sitemap (there should be another xml file youriste.org/gd_placecategory_location_country_region_city-sitemap.xml)

We have already urls for gd_placecategory_location_country_region_city it is in gd_placecategory_location_full-sitemap.xml

    Hello Jared,

This has been updated. In next version of Location Manager, the CPT + Location urls will be in Yoast SEO sitemap urls.

    Thanks,
    Kiran
