Places and creating Categories

    Ok, I am SURE someone has asked this before but I cannot find anything.

    I need to create several hundred Place Categories and Subcategories.

    I tried the CPT but quickly ran into problems with “a listing can only be submitted to one “CTP at the time”.

    So, I am going to stick with a big flat directory for now.

    Is there an EASY way to upload a CSV someplace to create and manage all the categories OR must I hand jam several 100 categories + sub categories?

    Hi, I’m afraid but categories need to be there before importing any data. What could you do is to play with the database and see if you can create them using sql (obviously this involves some SQL knowledge).

    ps- I’d happy to be wrong about that

    HI,

    yes as Simone said, there is no option to create bulk category or CPTs.
