Hi,
Every time I visit the front page (GD Home Page) the Gmap is centering itself somewhere in northern Africa which is far from where I am or the places (custom post types) on the map are situated.
Where do I set the default settings for the Gmap on the front page? I would like it to be centered on a specific country or city.
Thanks
Dale
January 5, 2016 at 4:35 pm #66699hi,
depending if you have autozoom or not, the map will center to include all listing of your default location.
It is not possible to center it for a sepcific country, unless you have listings only for that country.
If you provide a link and admin credentials in a private reply, we’ll have a look at your problem.
Thanks

sorry for the late reply, but for some reasons I didn’t get an email for your reply of the 6th. I’m investigating why.
There are several problems on your database. I could notice that by exporting your advokatbyra CPT.
1) some wrong lat and long coordinates. example listing ID 324, Advokat Daniel Vargö. Address is in Sweden, Stockholm, however you have this lat and long that are wrong: 14.606238 / 121.098544. They point in the ocean of the Gulf of Guinea in West Africa. Not sure if there are other errors, but you should verify.
2) Most “post_regions” have a comma at the end of the region name: example Stockholms län,
That created duplicate locations. example: Åkersberga, Stockholms län, Sverige (correct) and Åkersberga, Stockholms län, , Sverige (wrong, notice the 2 commas between city and region). You need to merge all the duplicates and this will fix all listings too.3) You enabled the default country (Sverige), in MultiLocation settings, but you have listings imported for many other countries… (spain, UK, Switzerland, Malta and others). You should use multi countries (or selected countries), but if you enablee the default cuontry only, you exclude all others. That is wrong.
4) You don’t have the location switcher anywhere, but you are using multilocations. I’ve added it for you and you can see that there is a problem with the duplicate locations.
Once you fix the above points, you should see everything back to normal. Let us know how you went
Thanks

there are still listings with wrong coordinates:
http://www.infolex.se/advokatbyra/stockholm/carat-advokatbyra-stockholm/ (midwest USA instead of Sweden)
http://www.infolex.se/advokatbyra/sundsvall/lindberg-advokatbyra/ (Netherlands instead of Sweden)
http://www.infolex.se/advokatbyra/vastervik/advokat-erik-jarnestrom/ (Finland instead of Sweden)
http://www.infolex.se/advokatbyra/norrkoping/advokatfirman-lennart-swahn/ (Norway instead of Sweden)
In home page at 1st page load, you can show either your default location (currently Norrköping, Östergötlands län, Sverige) or the everywhere location.
The only way to show only sweden listings in the home page, would be to only have listings in Sweden and use the everywhere location as default.
wp-super-cache and the other optimizing plugin are not compatible, only GD Booster is.
Please correct the listings and let us know how you went.
Thanks
