Possible bugs during conversion

    When I converted my site I ran into a few issues that I cannot fix.

    Because the site was converted on a test site, fixing the issues on the site will not really help because I will be running the conversion again on my production site.

    That said, what I need to know is how to address these issues when I do run the conversion again.

    Here are the first couple of things I am hoping you can help with.

    1. Logo

    In GDV1 I used a custom field called ‘logo’
    Now the field will not display on my sidebar using the output locations widget. Everything appears to be set correctly.

    2. CPT Default post image

    This is the default image for the CPT. The image did not carry over. It is not missing on the site. It appears the setting was skipped or the data deleted.

    Do you have any customisation to display logo in v1 or it displayed by default?

    No CPT data deleted during conversion. Please provide us details of your site running with v1, so i can check there.

    I did some customization to make the logo display correctly and fill the container using code I got here in the forum.

    Can you go ahead and remove whatever customization is related to the logo?
    The issue is that the field has the same field key, and so the normal ops of GDV2 are conflicting with that reference to geodir_logo

    I’d be happy to, but I can’t find it.

    The customization was included in the custom style css code under the Scripts tab of the Design section in GDV1.

    For example: For the Events logo

    .geodir_eventlogo .geodir-custom-post-gallery .geodir_thumbnail {background-size: contain;}
    .geodir_eventlogo .geodir-custom-post-gallery {width: 100% !important;}
    .geodir_eventlogo .geodir-custom-post-gallery {
    border: none;
    margin-bottom: -10px;
    margin-top: -10px; height: 200px;
    }

    Point me in GDV2 and I’ll be happy to remove it for each GD category logo. 😉
