Prevent that users add tags not created

    As far as I understand, users can add any new tag when adding a listing, is this correct?

    I would like to prevent users to add any tag that has not been added in the back end by the site admin, that is, myself. Is there some way to prevent this?

    That is not possible at this time. What you describe is a category.

    One unique feature of GDV2, compared to GDV1, is that selecting any child category will automatically place a listing in the parent category. Consider adding additional categories to suit your needs.

    Tags can be limited with the package settings to 1 character max. We are still considering additional improvements to tags for the future and will keep your request in mind.

    Thank you very much for your reply.

    Yes, I would like Tags to work like Categories.

    I am worried that users would add any kind of senseless tags, as it happened with a person that I hired to fill the first few hundreds of listings, that I had to leave as drafts since he did a very bad job.

    Limiting tags to one character would not be of much help either, since I would prefer that users could select tags from those that I made available to them.

    Anyway, I expect you will soon implement the improvements you mentioned.
