I noticed when previewing a listing, after an edit, the “edit” button shows. On a desktop it’s less of a distraction as it’s below the featured image (see attached). on mobile it’s in the featured image. Is there a way to just not show the edit button when previewing an edit?

I recall a time or two where I even clicked on edit thinking I could edit the listing and realized it doesn’t work. At that time it confused me. I understand though now of course that it’s a preview and you don’t want to edit because you already edited. At that time I may have been scrolled down past the “go back and edit” and forgot about what I had done (multi-tasking…) and just saw “edit” and expected it to work. I almost reported the button not working before I realized what happened.

So, for the sake of making mobile preview look better and and to prevent end user confusion as much as possible I would really like to not see the edit button. Can someone please help me remove this?

The preview shows you how the listing will look live, that edit button will be there when live, in the preview it is disabled.

I understand completely what you’re saying.

I feel like it’s really more of a preview for how listing “will look live” to a visitor, not me. As a lister/editor I just want to see a preview of how it looks live (meaning hopefully to people visiting not just me being the only one visiting it).

In other words, I think “how it will look live” as you stated is how the listing looks live/working in front of visitors. As a lister I would like to think hundreds of people, or more, are going to see the listing, not just me so how it looks to them is what is most important. The visitors are what make it live, not just me. It’s minor, sure, I think it would be a cleaner/more effective and intuitive preview without that button. But, I’m sure you guys have more important things to deal with. So, I hope you don’t mind my input on this. 🙂
