Problems with importing

    Hi,

    I have an issue with importing data. I have exported GD listings with the GD export tool and when I try to import the listings to a brand new WordPress and Geodirectory installation I get the famous error message: Total 2391 item(s) found.
    2391 / 2391 item(s) could not be added due to blank title/invalid post type/invalid characters used in data.

    I have not touched the export file so I do not understand why there should be any errors in the file.

    1. The CPT does not exist.
    2. No categories created yet.
    3. You should not have post IDs in a fresh import.
    4. The price package ID does not exist
    5. No default location set yet.

    8. There is no user with ID 5
    9. CSV has columns for custom fields that do not exist

    Hi and thanks for your quick reply!

    The data is exported from a fully and very well functionning GeoDirectory install.

    So even if i export data from a fully functional WordPress/GeoDirectory-install with the GeoDirectory export tool the file will not by default work if I export the file to a new and empty GeoDirectory install? I will have to edit the data before I can import it to the new install?

    Hi Dale,

    You should make sure your custom fields match up on the two sites.
