Hi. I have the Events and Prices & Payments add-on’s installed.
My goal: I want to display the the linked events section only for paid business listings in the detailed listing page for gd_places.
I started by creating a free business listing package (gd_place) with the “Link business” field in the “Events Features Only” section set to NO. However, if I set this same field to YES in the free events listing package (gd_events) then users can still link their business in events although the free listing package for gd_place is set to NO for business linking. The linked business tab appears then in the detailed listing page for free listings – something I do not want. Is this system behaviour correct as per design?
If this is normal system behaviour then I see two options to achieve my goal:
Option 1: Use one event listing option that allows business linking but ammend the search result in the “Link Business” field (when creating/ammending events) that it only returns businesses with paid listings.
Option 2: Create a 2nd event listing (gd_event) option that allows business linking and allocate this to business listings automatically when they upgrade to a paid business listing type (gd_place). In other words the user does not have to upgrade the gd_event listing type in addition to the gd_place listing type. All free business listings can therefore not link any business in events, and all paid gd_place listings can link business in events.
Questions: Is there an easier option to achieve my goal than the two options listed above?
If not, which of the above two would you recommend as the easiest solution?
