December 3, 2017 at 11:38 pm #408073Hi, I have the places by province and by cities. When I choose a province in switch location I leave all the places together. Is there any possibility of classifying places by cities? Let me explain: when all the places that name the city go out and below the places that correspond to them and so on with all the places. It would be very good for the user to distinguish places by cities also when choosing a province.
ThanksDecember 4, 2017 at 9:20 am #408097Hello Memorex: Quick Question: Do you have the location manager addon installed? Also: Can you please clarify what you are asking. Any way to show a screenshot of what you would like to edit? Do you mean you would like link to click on a city name and have all of the places in that city shown? Note: Please do not send login details of any kind even if a private message as I AM NOT A GEODIRECTORY EMPLOYEE — just a fellow member trying to help out the community. Warmest Regards, Jonathan December 4, 2017 at 12:58 pm #408128Hi Jonathan, As always, thanks for helping out. Hi memorex13, Please elaborate a little bit more so that we could help you further? You can customize your Listings page with widgets like the GD Popular Posts widget that display places in different categories; you have a lot of control over what is Listed on the Listing page. Listing pages are created from a template, and Location Listing pages are the same template. If you want to make it easy for your visitors to find those cities, then you can create a list of links that lead directly to those cities. We provide the Location Switcher and the My Dashboard Widgets that automatically create a list of links, but, if those aren’t what you are looking for, there is also the “Popular Locations” widget, too. If those don’t work for you, you can also just make some links to those pages! like: places/city-1
places/city-1/neighborhood-BLet us know if you have more questions! December 4, 2017 at 11:15 pm #408243Hi Alex, Kor!
I am using the following shortcode
 [gd_bestof_widget title = “widget title” post_type = gd_hotel post_limit = 5 categ_limit = 6 character_count = 50 use_viewing_post_type = true add_location_filter = true tab_layout = bestof-tabs-as-dropdown]But In the title = “widget title” you can put the city or province automatically.
 ThanksDecember 5, 2017 at 12:00 am #408249Hi Alex, Kor!
ok I have solved it, now they come with the location.1. Now I would like to make it work [gd_popular_location] is a very long column when there are many cities if it could be put in three columns would be better. 2. If it is possible to put in several columns the shorcode [gd_popular_location] I would like to split the page and put the widgets on the right or left side.
ThanksDecember 5, 2017 at 5:54 am #408269Hi there, Glad that you sorted it out. Just checked the [gd_popular_location] shortcode and it seems there aren’t any parameters to change the columns. Could you share the page in question so that I could take a better look or provide some suggestions? You can post the details here using the private reply option below. Thanks!
