    Hi, hope i am in the right place, when i create a HTML link using this: ?ptype=post_listing/ it just goes to the home page and not the add listing page?

    Any idea why this is happening please?

    In GD >> Design >> Navigation did you enable front end posting of listings?

    In my theme, GD >> Design >> Navigation, i have

    Top Strip Header Navigation Exclude Pages
    + Place Categories for Header Navigation
    + Event Categories for Header Navigation
    + Footer Navigation
    + Allow user to list the Place
    + Allow user to list the Event
    + Breadcrumbs Navigation

    sorry I just re-read what you asked. ?ptype=post_listing/ this is wrong.

    It should be: /add-listing/?listing_type=gd_place

    Hi, that just gives me a 404 error

    Actually, the ?ptype=post_listing/ works fine on my website after just checking, what i am trying to do is link from a folder, so, mydomain.com/news/?ptype=post_listing/

    Sorry i didnt mention this before but didnt think to check

    that is not a correct URL for GeoDirectory, please provide a link and admin credentials and we will have a look.

    Please check the credentials before posting again.
    But I think the issue is that you do not have GD installed, you are still using GeoTheme.

    GD is GeoDirectory, the replacement for GeoTheme (GT).
    GeoTheme has been discontinued and replaced with GeoDirectory.
    You can convert your GT site to a GD site with the conversion script, see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/geotheme-to-geodirectory-conversion-tutorial/
