    HI There,

New to GD and trying to get my non-techy head round it.

When I try to add a listing, I go through all the steps, review it and then click publish but it doesn’t show on the map afterwards. I also don’t get an email as the admin saying that a new listing has been submitted. I’ve changed the settings in Design > Listings > New Listing default status but that hasn’t made a difference.

I also can’t seem to get my icons showing on the map, even for the dummy data I uploaded?

Some help ASAP would be much appreciated – thanks in advance.

    Hi there,

I can’t seem to find any issues with your GD setup. I’ll get a developer to check on this.

    Thanks!

Forgive me, what are the FTP details?

When you say you can see any problems, is it allowing you add a listing and showing on the map? Or you mean you can’t see the cause of that problem?

    Hi Al,

Sorry i mean i can’t see any problems with your setup.
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) Is just a user name and password you get with your hosting so you can add/remove files.

I managed to track down the problem, sessions are not set up right on your server.
I have added a small test script to your site to check when its fixed:
    http://thedadnetwork.co.uk/404/?test-sessions=true

Please ask your host to fix your PHP Sessions, everything should work after that 🙂

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

Do I just simply ask them to ‘fix my PHP sessions?’

    Apologies for being so amatuer!!
