Questions about packages

Hello,

I have a couple of questions about packages:

1) A package with monthly, quarterly and yearly price has to be configured as three different packages?

2) I would like to configure a package with a special launch price forever for the first x customers or until a given date. For example: normal package price is 200 €, but the 100 first customers or customers who order until the 31st december will get this package for 100 € per year forever while they pay renewals on time. Which would be the way to do it?

I have thought that one way could be to set a package for the special price until the end of the offer and another package for the normal price, activate the first package until the end of the offer, then deactivate it and activate the second package. Will this work or there is another way to do it? My main doubt is if a deactivated package is still active for recurring invoices and payments.
