Hello GD Peeps,
A couple of questions about some things I’ve noticed with the multi-location add-on.
Background: We had significant trouble configuring these settings since we are in the US Virgin Islands and Google’s API for the area is…well, not ideal. Stiofan had to help us multiple times. So it is set up now for default country, selected islands, and selected cities.
All of the limiting factors on “Add Listing Form Settings” are also checked.
Yet, we’re still getting some countries in our locations that are outside of these limitations.
For instance, I just noticed that we had a location for, “all, all, Peru,” this is especially odd because when I went it to manage that location, the pin was actually in Puerto Rico. This makes a little more sense, as Puerto Rico is right next door to the USVI. But…I’m wondering how it got there. Is it possible that, perhaps, an Event that was added using the Social Importer was located in Puerto Rico, and thus, it added that location to our directory?
Also, there are two US Virgin Islands listed in the Google API, yet only one of them is accurate. The one that is accurate is actually just called, “Virgin Islands” to Google — so we have used poedit to change “Virgin Islands” to “US Virgin Islands” so as not to be confused with the British Virgin Islands. I’m still having locations in the incorrect “US Virgin Islands” popping up in my locations directory, and then I have to merge them with the correct one.
Is there any way to keep this from happening? Or should I just plan on managing and merging location settings on a weekly or biweekly basis?
Thank you!
Ashley
