Hey there,
I’d like to offer the option of rating a places without posting a review – is it possible with geodirectory?
Moreover, in order to avoid spam, I’d like to make sure the user is logged in to our blog or even logged in to facebook.

Hi,

no it isn’t possible, reviews are wp comments and wordpress will reject empty comments.

In Settings >> Discussion you can set WordPress to only accept comments from logged in users.
