Dear Members,
please find the reCAPTCHA addon (beta) in the downloads area and if you are kind enough to test it, please report bugs (if any) here.
Thank you,

January 7, 2015 at 1:05 pm #26604Hi,
I have small problem with the size of the Captcha field.
It is too big for the form..rc-anchor{
width: 300px;
}I’ve tried to overwrite it with custom css code but without effects.
please see attached screen.

http://wefrancji.plJanuary 7, 2015 at 5:43 pm #26635Hi,
the best option would be actually to make the registration form box a bit wider.
Try adding this to your custom css:
.registration_form_r { width: 34%; }Let us know,
Thx
January 7, 2015 at 7:35 pm #26661cool!
works fine!
Thank you!PrzemJanuary 10, 2015 at 5:30 pm #26917Just an update.
I’ve installed GD reCAPTCHA on wpgeo.directory where we had heavy spam since months (80 to 100 spam comments/day to clean up was the major problem).
We had about 830 comments when I installed it, it took Google reCAPTCHA about 50 new comments to start filtering bots effectively.
Now the spam comment count stopped at 883 since 4 days. No new spammy registration, send enquiry, send to friend or fake claim listings.
I think it is safe to say that this super lightweight addon alone does a great job and makes plugins like vanguard or wordfance totally useless and definitely an overkill.
Given that nobody reported any bugs, today we will release it officially as stable!
Thanks
January 11, 2015 at 4:41 am #26963Hi Paolo,
Is recaptcha still on beta? It shows beta on the downloads section.
My site only offers paid listing plans. Do you recommend it even if I don’t offer free listings?
January 11, 2015 at 5:13 am #26965I guess Paolo meant that there is no change required since nobody reported any bugs, so all he has to do is to rename the beta to 1.0.0 or whatever.
Probably still a good idea if you get too many signups but they don’t list or comment. You are only growing your database for nothing then.
January 11, 2015 at 6:26 am #26966Thanks, Guust. I am now using recaptcha on my site. So far it works. 🙂
I am not sure if I read it here or on another plugin vendor but does GD have a feature now that allows users to create passwords at registration?
January 11, 2015 at 8:36 am #26968Sure do.
GD > general > general tab > Allow user to choose own password > YesJanuary 11, 2015 at 9:10 am #26970This reply has been marked as private.January 11, 2015 at 10:19 am #26977Does it change if you enable registration?
January 11, 2015 at 6:38 pm #27040Everyone can register is enabled. Should I disable it?
January 11, 2015 at 10:00 pm #27062It was not enabled before, and enabling it has not changed anything.
Can you post admin details, then I’ll get Stiofan to look at this.January 11, 2015 at 11:16 pm #27065This reply has been marked as private.January 12, 2015 at 7:43 pm #27203Hi,
there seems to be a random issue with GD booster and the google recaptcha API.
Stiofan is looking into it.
Thx
