redirect to thank you page after registering

    I logged out of my website and tried to register as a new user. After entering my name and email address, I am redirected back to the home page. Is there any way to redirect users to a page thanking them for registering and telling them to check their email for a password?

    Also..
    I checked my email, got the password and now I cannot login to my website from the front end or the backend, using “wp-admin”. When choosing “login” from the front end, it just reloads the home page.

    Can you still login as an administrator? If so please post your WP admin details and a URL in a private message and we will have a look.

    If you cannot login anymore as an admin. post your FTP details too.

    I was able to login – I had to clear the cache, but this is still happening while being logged out of my website and trying to register as a new user.     Thanks, I tried following the instructions to add code to the child theme functions.php file but it didn’t work. I’m just wondering, what normally happens after someone logs in or registers for the first time? Where do you normally get redirected?
