Hi, i was reading here ( https://wpengine.com/support/disallowed-plugins/) that related posts plugins have a high overhead on performance (“extremely database intensive”)

Would the same also apply to the gd_listings shortcode if i use it for related_to = “category” ?

It should not make a significant impact on site performance.

Hi Vivek (any anyone else reading this)

One of the main reasons GD has its own custom tables is to eliminate these bottle necks, the way our system is setup means this is not an issue, even with millions of listings.
