Hello
I’d like to know how to remove the “Favorite” option
And also, the pinpoint feature… I see it in the litings but it does nothing, so I think I best remove it.. Are there any instructions?
Thank you for your support!
August 7, 2015 at 9:18 pm #48599If in the listing page, you have the GD > GMap Listings page widget and you hover the pinpoint link on any of your listings, the icon will start bouncing in the map. If you click the pinpoint link the info windown in the map for that listing will open up.
try here: http://wptry.it/try-geodirectory/places/
Are you sure it is doing nothing? Do you have the map?
To remove favorites: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/how-do-i-disable-favorites/
Let us know how you went.
Thanks
November 19, 2015 at 5:14 am #60808Hi Paolo,
In the link you provided the pinpoint seems to works for the right sidebar map. How can we have the pinpoint work on the GD Homepage Map? I prefer not to have two maps on my listings page.
How can we remove the pinpoint feature?
Thanks.
November 19, 2015 at 5:24 am #60809Hello again,
Here I copy and pasted the css for disabling “favorites”. Only the very first code I ever copy and pasted worked. What am I missing?
Thank you.
November 19, 2015 at 5:36 am #60811Something is cutting the heart off a little. When we disable favorites will the hearts be removed on the map as well?
November 19, 2015 at 4:29 pm #60882Hi,
pinpoint only works with the listings map. You can’t use the Home map in the listings page.
Just move the mapfrom the sideebar to the top area.
Yes, that css will remove favorite from everywhere.
Thanks
November 20, 2015 at 11:58 pm #61029Hi Paolo,
My pinpoint will not work on the homepage or listing page. It will scroll up only halfway and nothing happens.
November 21, 2015 at 4:48 pm #61069Hi,
pinpoint doesn’t exist in home page.
Please provide a URL and admin details and we will have a look at the problem on the listing page.
Thanks

it doesn’t work because you are using the wrong map on the listings page. You should be using the listings map, not the home map.
Thanks
November 23, 2015 at 6:18 pm #61255Hi Paolo,
I have replaced the home map with the listings map and the pinpoint is still not working. It acts the same way as before where it scrolls up halfway and then nothing.
I also tried manipulating the listings map (width, height, mouse scroll, etc.) just to see if it’s even working and it doesn’t seem to acknowledge anything.
Thank you.
November 23, 2015 at 6:51 pm #61259Hi,
clicking pintpoint now does what is expected. It scrolls back up where the map is and opens the infowindow of the marker for the listing selected.
I changed width of your map to 100% and it seems to be working?
Let us know,
thx
November 24, 2015 at 4:16 am #61326Great! It’s working now. Other things are suddenly working too. Thank you.
To make the pinpoint box automatically size adjust to the content it contains would I do that in Inspect Element? It’s such a large box when there is not much content for that place. Thanks.
November 24, 2015 at 6:07 pm #61383It looks big because the picture is missing and you removed few elements.
Try to upload at least a “No image” place holder.
If you reduce it now and then your users adds an image to their listing, it will look bad.
Thanks
December 10, 2015 at 10:35 pm #63299Hi guys,
I went ahead and added the favorites feature back to my website. Why are the hearts cut off?
For front end users, are “favorited” places automatically saved?
Thanks.
