Remove Map When Address not Required

    We created a custom post (Performer) and for the address field have made it NOT required. However, on the listing page, it still tries to put a map? How can we disable having the map on these listings?

    Hi Wendy,

    Could you try removing the map widget from Appearance > Widget > Listing Top Section? Locate the Listings Top section and see if you’ve a map widget there.

    GD > general > Select CPT to disable physical location
    Select Performers there.

    We made that change as requested and still have two issues:

    1. For performers entered prior to the change, they still show a map with a location. How to reset all these?

    2. For new listing, the address field is no longer required (good), however a blank map still shows up on the performer page. How to remove the map?

    I think you should re-publish the listings and/or re-save your WP permalinks.

    Post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply if we need to have a look for you.

    As Guust said this should work, let us know if it does not. (and provide wp-admin so we can check)

    GD > general > Select CPT to disable physical location
    Select Performers there.
