Remove Popular Categories

Hi guys
Im new here so bare with me.
Im using supreme theme and wanted to remove the popular category
I followed https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/how-do-i-remove-the-popular-categories-section-from-the-home-page/

I have tried 2 ways to do it (see attached pics)
and nothing
The other way by editing the php file I didnt manage to find the file
