I read docs but did not see how to remove the reviews section in Details page V2, thanks!
December 1, 2018 at 11:22 am #456653Which part are you trying to remove?
If you are using tabs, remove the Reviews tab using the Tabs UI.
Comments also might need to be disabled in WP.
The GD Detail template might have gd_post_rating, to be removed.
Check those and let us know.
For future issues like this, consider posting your template into a private reply so we can take a look.
December 1, 2018 at 2:31 pm #456686I am not using Tabs, I disabled Comments, I looked Documentation for info on modifying Templates to remove reviews and found this:
GeoDirectory V2 comes with 3 templates, one each for the Archive, Archive Item, and Detail Pages.I also found the Templates folder in plugins, geodirectory, should I add a Templates folder to root of my Child Theme?
I ran a search in the Templates folder for gd_post_rating and only found it in map-popup.php.
I can remove the code if I know where to find it and how to place in a safe area in child theme, thanks! The easier path might just be remove with css

December 1, 2018 at 7:11 pm #456718Thanks, i hadn’t realized since I was using List view that it was still considered Tabs, Now i have configured my Detail view, but to edit the actual page display, do I use the Template structure I described above, adding to child theme? And where is there a list detailing which template page is used for each Page, like Details, Listings, in Details Page, the image at top is much too large for our needs, and we also want to make Title: title, etc on one line and not two, thanks
December 1, 2018 at 8:32 pm #456725Each CPT can have its own Detail, Archuve, and Archive item template pages.
The defaults are set at
GD, Settings, General, Pages
CPT overrides are set in the CPT Settings
CPT, Settings, General, Advanced
These are the easiest templates to edit, and determine the actual page display. You can add HTML and markup as needed, even use a builder for layout.
If you want to make changes to styles you can use the theme styles or write your own. The shortcode builder has a lot of options. You can also use shortcodes in HTML widgets for the sidebars, or remove the tabs display completely and just use shortcodes for even more control.
December 2, 2018 at 1:42 pm #456796I am loving the new ability to customize, but have an issue, is it a bug perhaps, i hope not because, i use Elementor to build structure and add special elements to the page, like modal popups, I have built the page, and I’m sure it is loading, I added a message on it to be sure (This is testing page) , because it is not applying the elementor structure, I have added login info in next entry private, please let me know how to work with elementor, https://www.screencast.com/t/grFLLzkmD
