Remove search for box

Hi all,

How can I remove the ‘Search for’ box and allow users to only search by location? Secondly, how can I change the text from ‘Near’ to custom copy.

Hi Joseph, to remove the search for field, add this to your style.css inside your child theme folder
```
input.search_text {
display:none;
}
```
Toc change the label for the Near field, go to the Geodirectory settings/Design and in the Search tab you’ll find the option
“SEARCH FORM DEFAULT TEXT SETTINGS”

I’ve managed to change the copy but the ‘Search for’ box is still visible?

How can I extend the input box to fill the sidebar widget and also have it longer on the find a salon page?
