    Hi
    How do I remove the line ‘Something missing? Why not add a listing?’ from the search results page?
    Thanks!

    Sorry I’m confused, I dont want to translate it I just want it removed as I dont offer the facility for people to add their own events. What page do I need to edit for this?

    CSS or translate it to a blank string.

    Thanks

    Do you know what the css would be to hide just this line?

    That is not possible because that is part of 1 string:

    No listings were found matching your selection. Something missing? Why not add a listing?.

    With CSS, you can hide it all. Translating you can change from:

    No listings were found matching your selection. Something missing? Why not add a listing?.

    to :

    No listings were found matching your selection.

    Thanks

    I’ve tried

    .geodir-info {
    display: none;
    }

    and that seems to have removed that line but I don’t know if that would remove other information somewhere else?

    Ideally I’d still like it to say ‘no results’ but I cant work out how to do the translation…I couldnt find the page I need?

    Translation are not made through a page. You need to download the poedit software, edit the main po file, find that string, edit/translate it to whatever you want and save the. Saving the po file, creates the new mo file.

    Uploading the mo file in the right place, changes the default text string. This is not a strange way we decided to use for default text string editing /translation. This is the standard used by most software out there, including WordPress itself.

    If you follow the documentation carefully, there is no way, you can’t do this. Thousands of people did it before you.

    Thanks

    I like your positivity that I can do this! 🙂 I’ll leave it for the time being and maybe have a go at it when I have some more time. I looked the other day and couldnt find the main po file that I needed….i’m learning every day!

    The PO file can be found as per image 1.
    The string can be changed as per image 2.
    Then upload the new files to the folder as per image 3.

    Cheers 🙂
