Renewal Time Change

    If I set the renewal requirement for free listings to be 3 months and then someone joins and later I change it to 6 months will their listing change to needing renewal in 6 months after they renew in 3 months?

    Changes to packages only take effect for new listings added after the change.
    If they are recurring, the contract entered into sets renewal for every 3 months. That contract will stay honored until the user or you cancel it; not by changing package settings.

    Is there a way to change someone? For example, if I realize it isn’t a good idea to have everyone renew every three months, is there a way to force the change on everyone or at least manually on each listing?

    not without creating a new recurring payment for that particular listing. Recurring payments are handled by the payment gateway, not by your website and each change must be authorized by the user too. So the only way to do something like that is to cancel the original payment and create a new payment.

    Ok, thanks. Canceling the original payment and creating a new payment, is that something I can easily do via the backend or does that have to be done by the user too? thanks again!

    If it is for a recurring package, the first payment always needs to be made by the user to get the contract set in place for the future at the gateway.

    You can cancel the payment by refunding the amount in the payment gateway.
