Looking for “experienced” database administrator with programmer skills. Must be experience with proven Replication experience using master and slave database mysql.
Whereby all event postings shall be posted to GD CTP “events” as primary event posting platform/plugin. http://whatshappeningtoday.com
Then, certain events or all events are sent to slave db for event posts on a sub-domain (replication) http://tickets.whatshappeningtoday.com
Additional requirements. In “gd Event form” include custom check box with label that would read something like this:
” Are you going to be selling tickets with our “tickets.whatshappeningtoday.com” site? If yes, tick/check this box”
Reference to this post for php “http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.7/en/replication.html”
and this plugin/post ‘https://codex.wordpress.org/Class_Reference/wpdb’ and
finally this plugin/post “https://wordpress.org/plugins/hyperdb/faq/”
Reason: I am using another plugin for tickets and bookings. The other plugin does not play nice with GD and I am NOT giving up my GD plugins. I like them way too much. 🙂
The other plugin will allow for bookings, tickets, event syndication feeds so … I would contemplate that the data being provided from master to slave would allow for users wanting to sell and book tickets could be done using the sub-domain.
The domains are on a dedicated server in the same multi-site network thus users wanting to view the primary site and then go to tickets would not have to re-login.
They could use the other plugins to search for the events they want ticket for and presto. Book the tickets.
A link on the GD event successful post page could have this link to tickets.whatshappeningtoday.com.
I will allow two days before posting to other locations
