I made a field called Vehicle Type for the CPT “vehicle” for http://www.DealersBest.com. I made this field a select field so the lister would select if the car is new, certified preowned, or used. I selected “Yes” for “is required”.
On the add listing page this field is showing a red asterisk as it should. But, it appears by default the field is already selecting “new” (the first option) and not requiring me to select anything.
How I make this field show “select type” like the Category field shows “Select Category” and force people to select one of the three options I included?
Lastly, how do I then show this field as a filter on the front end in the search pages? I selected “Yes” for “Include this field in sorting options” but it doesn’t show on the front end anywhere. I looked around elsewhere to see if there something else I need to select but can’t find anything…
