Restrict Certain Users

Hi

I have a site set up with GeoDirectory with both places and events.

I currently have it set-up so that authors can add/change both places and events however I wanted another level of user (contributor) to only have access to places and not events.

I couldn’t find an obvious way to achieve this so thought a membership/restriction plugin might work but the problem is that both the place and events pages seem to be dynamically pulled from the core “add-listing” page… which means these plugins won’t work as they restrict everything built upon that url.

Is there an obvious solution to this that I am missing?… can’t believe I’m the first person to ask this (although I couldn’t find it anywhere else in the forums!)
