    Hi there,
    I need to have a search feature on a page and only that page it is on – I need to be able to search/filter through up to 100 brand logos etc. The wordpress search function glitches out when I search something.
    The featured image doubles up and no search results are shown.

    The geodirectory search works for finding listings etc.

    Is there a search function that is available ?

    Thanks

    Something as simple as a ctrl + F function would be brilliant

    Can there be a shortcode to add that function to a page ?

    I don’t understand what you are trying to search.
    The only searches there are search all WP posts and pages and GD listings [just add

    /?s=

    after the URL of your site].
    Or the GD search, searching all listings: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/gd-search

    If your logos are not part of posts or pages or listings, you cannot search them.

    Thanks

    HI there Guust – Issue is it comes up with a funny doubled up featured image when i up WP search of a post…

    Is there a plugin that can act like a “search in page function”(crtl f)

    Instead of having to search posts – it could just filter by searching text ?

    VIsit: http://outdoorkiwi.com/nz-brands/hunting/

    Ill add the wp search bar – search for “stoney Creek”

    Please help me fix the doubled up ugly featured image that appears

    Cheeers

    I do not know of any way of searching on a page like that, except for using your browser’s search function like CTRL + F.

    There is only one featured image, which is the image of the first result. You could hide or customize that by using this CSS, adjust as required:

    .search-results .featured-area {
        display: none;
    }

    Thanks

    Hi guust – that did work – but it also removed the featured image within that page, which I would like to be shown when results appear

    Is this possible

    Try adding this:
    .type-page .featured-area {
    display: inherit;
    }

    If that fails, post your WP admin details in a private reply so we can test better.

    Thanks
