Hi guys,
I realized that the search function doesn’t work when only the post type is selected–changed–and the inputs blank (please see attached). It’d take you to a 404 page with the URL including country/region/city.
Whenever I change post type (the 1st select box) the page automatically searches and lands on a 404 with country/region/city in the URL. If I don’t change the select option and click Search–or if I do type something in the input boxes–it’ll show me a listings of the selected post type.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

July 19, 2014 at 4:10 pm #9120Good morning.
I just tried again and it’s working fine. Before bed I did 2 updates so maybe those updates fixed it?
As always, thanks so much for you help!

July 20, 2014 at 3:55 am #9160This is very strange. It’s having the same behavior again yet I didn’t make any changes to the site in any way today. This morning when I change the post type in the search bar it goes to the post type listings page without the country/region/city in the URL and it worked. Now, it’s going to the URL WITH country/region/city and it’s giving me a 404 again.
I feel bad to ask you guys to look at it. I’ll try to figure it out first. Just thought I’d update.
Thanks
July 20, 2014 at 4:20 am #9161Hi,
I took 2 screenshots of the js error from Chrome when I get the 404. Wondering if they mean anything to you guys.
Thanks so much.

July 21, 2014 at 5:31 pm #9263Hi Vikas,
Good afternoon.
Thanks so much for checking for me. I really appreciate you.
I did have debug turned on to try to diagnose this issue. I’m at a loss. I just tried it and it gave me a 404 (mysite.com/posttype/united-states/texas/dallas). If I go to mysite.com/posttype then all is well. I noticed that the WP Geodirectory demo goes to demosite.com/posttype/united-states/state/city when the drop-down is selected and it’s working fine.
I tried using my cellphone and different browsers and they all gave me a 404. The only time it worked was the other morning when I first logged in.
Did the attached screenshots, especially error4 and error5, mean anything? I haven’t figured that out yet.
Thanks again for your help!
July 21, 2014 at 7:33 pm #9279Hi Vikas,
I was wondering…could you tell me how to turn off auto search when the post type dropdown is changed? I was thinking that this could be a workaround for now.
Thanks!
July 22, 2014 at 11:29 am #9363I will send u a solution very soon.
Thanks

July 23, 2014 at 12:03 am #9505Hi Vikas,
I’m still trying to figure this out and found this error message below on my site. Does this give us any hints?
