Hi all,

a question about the “search bar” question:
we would like to have a search bar that works like the one in the tripadvisor site… when a user clicks with the mouse inside the bar is it possible to automatically see the categories name?

Hi,

if you have the advance search add-on installed and someone start typing in the “Search for” it will auto suggest results from listings, tags and categories.

Without user intervention it will not suggest anything.

ok, so you confirm that with just a click inside the search bar it can’t give no hint like categories… right?

Highjacking this to ask something similar,

Is there a way for it to NOT suggest Tags in the search? Just titles

Hi,

Yes, using the Advance search Add-on, when a user start typing in the search for field, it will suggest after the user typed the 3rd letter. It will look into listing titles, description, tags and categories.
