September 28, 2015 at 11:50 am #54802Hello,
It looks like you don’t have any location switcher on the page, that might be the issue.
Please provide wp-admin details in a private reply and i will take a look.
(only staff can see private replies)Thanks,
Stiofan

GD > Design > navigation
and
GD > multilocations
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#navigationIt looks like you are using godaddy managed WP hosting, please review this:

That is why your search only works once, you will have to ask GoDaddy to move you to a normal server.October 7, 2015 at 7:28 am #56034Hi,
Thank you for your response. We moved off shared hosting at godaddy and now have our website on a VPS. We are still experiencing problems with search. Here is the dev page for the directory:
https://iabdm.org/locationWhen you put a zip code “90024” in the “Near” box, we get no results. There should be results. For one thing, there is a listing in 90024 and several nearby.
Please let me know how to resolve this.
By the way, I had to remove the navigation links that you added. It messed up our main navigation. We really want the directory self-contained on one page.
Another question: Can we link the members (listings) in Geodirectory to their WordPress user profile so they can manage their own listing?
Thanks!
October 7, 2015 at 2:14 pm #56069You are still using a caching system, it seems.
You are running 2 directory plugins, that is bound to give you trouble. Deactivate the one you will not use.You cannot really have the directory contained to one page; there are separate pages for all locations, categories and listings. Examples:
https://iabdm.org/location/united-states
https://iabdm.org/places/hygienist-1/
https://iabdm.org/places/canada-1/ontario-1/barrie/hygienist-1/gouweloos-rdh-ihp-tammy/Searching for a postcode will give you the listings around the centre of the location:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#howI guess that the listing in 90024 is more than 6 miles from the center of Los Angeles, and that is why it does not show in the search.
All users can manage their own listing, if you add the GD dashboard widget, your users will get a link to their listings. ALso, if you use the sidebar on the detail page, the user will get a link to edit the listing if logged in.
For example, this is yours:

we don’t provide support for customizations. In any case, any decent developers should be able to change anything they want on any system. There isn’t really anything that can’t be done.
Thanks
