Hi,
I had my GD V1 site recently converted to GD V2 by a GD Expert.
I am using Supreme Directory and WPML with 4 languages (main is CA, additional are ES, FR and EN).
GD “Search” button anywhere (Home page or Archive pages) shows the GD Search results page in EN and the other languages do not appear in the language options of the main menu. Then, the only way to get back the site in the main language CA is to go to the Home page.
I look forward to your reply.
Thank you very much for your help.
Best regards.
March 6, 2019 at 7:36 pm #473096Have you tried creating a search page in one of the other languages?
The developers have been alerted and will provide more information asap.
March 6, 2019 at 10:26 pm #473201Hi Alex,
Thank you very much for your reply.
I will read the doc, but I really expected that this kind of adjustments would have been done within the GD V1 to GD V2 conversion task.
Do you mean that I have to duplicate the GD Search page in all the languages using WPML?
In fact, I can not find the GD Search page in the main language of the site, which is CA, but I find a Search page that I think is not the same.
However, in language EN I am finding a GD Search page.
I am getting very confused about all this.
Anyway, as I said, I am going to read the doc, although I have to say that I foresee that it will be difficult for me to fully understand it to be able to do things correctly.
Any help from you will be most welcome, of course.
I look forward to your news.
Thank you very much once again for your help.
Best regards.
March 7, 2019 at 4:15 am #473237Hello,
I will read the doc, but I really expected that this kind of adjustments would have been done within the GD V1 to GD V2 conversion task.
In v1 we have not search page as a template, but in v2 we have used WordPress template system to allow users to customize search page via page template.
During v1 to v2 we can’t create/convert search page in different languages, because we don’t know about which translated strings customers want to use for translated page. So we leave it for customers to translate page they want.
—Do you mean that I have to duplicate the GD Search page in all the languages using WPML?
Yes, as many languages you have installed you have to duplicate it for each language. WPML provides duplicate translation page that will help you to duplicate easily in one go. Just go Pages > Edit Search Page > Tick languages in right sidebar metabox > Duplicate.
—In fact, I can not find the GD Search page in the main language of the site, which is CA, but I find a Search page that I think is not the same.
However, in language EN I am finding a GD Search page. You can duplicate from EN language page to other languages. If that not works then i guess WPML allows option to change language of the page. So change language of existing page to your site default and then go for duplicate translation.
Just let us know if you need any help.

KiranMarch 7, 2019 at 5:11 am #473240Hello,
Because every Thursday I am using the site to run a weekly online marketing campaign and the GD V1 to GD V2 conversion has left several key issues that affect the campaign, today Thursday the 7th March I am restoring the old GD V1 site to be able to run the campaign normally.
Please, do not mark this ticket as resolved. Tomorrow Friday the 8th March I will restore the GD V2 site so we will be able to continue dealing with any issue left after the conversion and definitely solve all them.
Thank you very much for your understanding and help.
Best regards.

I had to redo it because I used the first procedure you suggested (“You can duplicate from EN language page to other languages”) and then I had a mess with original and duplicated pages.
Therefore I restored a backup and I used the second procedure you suggested (“change language of existing page to your site default and then go for duplicate translation”), and now GD Search page shows only in CA (site default) and the other languages do not show in the main menu, although I duplicated the GD Search page.
Can you help?
I look forward to your reply.
Thank you very much once again for your attention.
Best regards.

I did the second procedure suggested by Kiran in the seven GD Pages that you created in EN:
– Add Listing.
– GD Archive.
– GD Archive item.
– GD Detail template.
– GD Search.
– GD Terms and Conditions.
– Location. But now I notice that you have created additional GD Pages only in CA:
– GD Archive (a second one).
– GD Archive item (a second one).
– GD Details.
– Search page.I am confused. Which is the purpose of these pages, some with the same names than the others that you created in EN? Why you created some in EN and some in CA? Should I also duplicate these CA pages in all the other languages?
I look forward to your reply.
Thank you very much once again for your attention.
Best regards.
