Search Not Leading To CPT

Hi, I’ve been having some problems with configuration – especially the search feature. I created a Custom Post Type “B” and configured the Advance Search Settings. However, on the homepage, the search bar’s results take me to “Events” listings instead of the “B” listings. How do I prevent this from happening?

Also, is there a way to remove the “Place” and “Events” tabs from the lower right-hand corner? I will send you my information in a private reply so you can check anything you need.
