Search Result in listing page

Hi I have a search result page that is simply showing one list on each page, even if I change to grid view, I still get multiple page with a single item from the list. Please give a solution to enable the result to show a list of more items in a given page after entering a search on a word.

I am also not able to see the category field I added to the search filter.
