    Hello,

Is there a way to change what page the search results show up on? I have a directory homepage: http://www.bernieportal.com/broker-directory and I’d like the search results to show up on that page. Right now the search results show up on a completely different page/url.

Also, how do I remove the text “Search Brokers:” that shows up on the top of the search results page?

    Hello,

GDv1 shows search results on a custom page template that is not a ‘page’ page, it is created by GD specifically to show the results.

You can add content to that page by adding widgets to the GD Search widget area.

GDV2 allows you to edit the content of a search page, adding text or other content above and below the search results.

Can I change the URL of the search page so the search results page is actually the home page?

    Hello,

For GDV1 the GD Home page can be set as the WP “Front Page”.

GDV2 does not have a GD Home page, and none of the pages should be set as the “Front Page”.

Both GDV1 and V2 have extensive shortcodes that will function on a WP Page, and any other WP Page can be set as the home page.

Can you say more about what you are trying to accomplish? Maybe we can figure out a way to help you achieve it.

You did, yes, and I do understand, but it is not possible to do that without a customization.

Do you already have a search widget on your directory homepage?

Is the search widget the search bar? If so, yes, I have that widget on my homepage using the “widgetised sidebar” element available in my theme: Fortuna.

    Hi Sarah,

Thanks for your reply. Since we do not provide customization services on our support forums, you can always reach out these freelance Geodirectory Experts here http://geodirectoryexperts.com/ that would help you with customizations.

    Thanks!
